About Your Tutor
Empowering young learners to reach their full potential is the core of my professional mission. With 14 years of experience as an elementary teacher — six years in special education and eight years in second grade — I specialize in literacy (reading and writing) and math. I focus on building confidence and skills step-by-step. Nothing brings me more joy than that "aha!" moment when a difficult concept clicks and when a child starts loving reading. I look forward to supporting your child's growth and celebrating successes together!
I will also gladly work with your child's classroom teacher and other school staff to create the most effective tutoring plan.

Christina worked with my son over the summer, and we had a wonderful experience with her. She was incredibly patient, kind, and very accommodating with scheduling. My son can sometimes become distracted or need a break, and Christina was great at recognizing when he needed to reset, redirecting him, and keeping him engaged without making tutoring feel stressful.
She worked with him on handwriting and letter formation, organizing his thoughts, planning and completing writing pieces, reading fluency and comprehension, and building his stamina. I really appreciated that she found creative ways to make the work meaningful rather than just giving him worksheets. Christina also went above and beyond at the end of the summer by putting together a very thorough report documenting his progress, areas that still needed work, and specific recommendations to help him moving forward. Having that information to share with his school was extremely helpful.
